El Espanyol afronta una etapa llena de incertidumbres por méritos propios. La salida ya confirmada de José María Durán deja un panorama muy preocupante por las dudas que genera en el espanyolismo. Mao Ye le reemplaza como CEO del club y la continuidad de Rufete parece más cercana, algo que la afición no consentirá más.

Tal y como apunta Arnau Baqué, presidente de las Seccions Deportives Espanyol y gran activista por los intereses espanyolistas, Adolf Rousaud es el principal artífice de todos estos movimientos en el club. La inestabilidad en la directiva no hace sino aumentar más la tajada con la que se enriquece Rousaud, cuya salida oficial de la entidad perica se produjo en el 2018 pero todavía tiene bastante poder en el control y la toma de decisiones del Consejo de Administración.
